And you should absolutely have the courage to reveal your shortcomings
I have shortcomings, and I can overcome them through long-term effort
But I also need to see where my real core strengths lie
Life is like a bucket; you need to discover your strengths and weaknesses
At different stages of development, be clear about whether it’s time to build on your strengths or improve your weaknesses: Examine yourself more, and treat yourself the way you assess your work
I
What does “I” mean? I am not something concrete. Everything I know defines me. When I encounter something new, I enrich myself. I live through seeing and discovering—that is who I am
My perspective has moved beyond the confines of the self; it really is at a higher level. In the face of so many gains and losses, I feel more at peace—a calm awareness that great waves will come and tides will rise and fall
Perhaps this elevated state doesn’t fit with my present surroundings. This can separate body from soul, but all changes in the world are part of the natural order
This higher-level self is better suited to keeping my out-of-control self in check—the self swayed and influenced by others—and helping me break free from the state of losing control to my emotions
If we can pick up and let go of the “I,” then nothing will be difficult. If you can do that, everything becomes easier
Why are people driven to do certain things?
Have you ever tried being extremely disciplined?: Falling into a slump, feeling down, and then starting again—but this isn’t truly effective
Your consciousness has begun to recognize the problem, but your mind hasn’t caught up and acted on that awareness
You’ve been in a state of constant conflict and division for a long time
Driving force: Find your driving force. Do you no longer feel that urgency to make money that you used to? Are you too comfortable now?
Why willingly do something? What is the motive behind it?
Fear
People do many things out of fear, and they also do many things to eliminate fear. All fears point to two words: survival
Surviving at work: Survival in the face of family; survival in the face of life
Although fear is useful, your heart is not genuinely willing: And you may not necessarily do it well
2. Desire
People are driven by many desires: how much money to earn, what age to get married, and so on. The goals created by desire can reduce your sense of happiness
You are constantly weighing the gap between reality and expectations, thereby judging yourself at every moment. It seems that only by achieving your goals can your life be complete; if you fail to achieve them, you may feel that this part of your life has no meaning
In the world of desire, people with strong willpower have a chance to prevail, but that only means your desire has defeated you
3. Curiosity
Curiosity about answers does not necessarily create value. It is built on desire: on the surface, it is a question extending from a desire, but it leads to a different outcome from desire
For example, if you are dropped into a new environment, you will instinctively go in and take a look because you want to know what the outside world is really like
This includes three categories: what I know, what I know I do not know, and what I do not know at all. From discovery to exploration to learning, you do so willingly
4. Play
It means focusing wholeheartedly on doing one thing until time stops, with a faint sense of happiness accompanying the entire process, enjoying the novelty and sensations of exploring
For example, when playing a game, your energy is concentrated on the game, so time passes very quickly. When you focus on exploring an answer, you enter the problem itself and become one with it
Could it be this way? Could it be that way? You ask questions that overturn common sense; these questions revolve around possibilities
Can I use this move to get through the next round? Can I get through it faster than I did this time?
5. Love
When it comes to love, you do many things that have nothing to do with money. There is no “I” driving love. Love gives you the ability to discover beauty and goodness; it can truly free you from being controlled by yourself
Its very existence is a kind of joyful happiness
For example, even if someone is temporarily not a good fit, give them more time to adjust, sincerely hoping that you can continue walking together
If you are passionate about something, persist in it; if you are no longer passionate about it, go find what you are passionate about
Everything you do is, at its core, an accounting to yourself. There is no need to be influenced by others; do not let the wishes or expectations of one stage instead become constraints
Because it was meant to be something beautiful
If you can’t solve the problem, look beyond the issue itself and see whether you can accept the outcome.
Learn to shift your way of thinking, and you’ll find many answers.
